The Samuel Walker Houston Museum & Cultural Center is more than just a museum - it’s a celebration of African American culture and heritage, and a tribute to the legacy of Samuel Walker Houston. A guided tour by the Magnum Howell Center of Houston TX, rolled into the Center on Thursday September 20, 2023 and the 33 visitors discovered some of the stories of African Americans who have made significant contributions to the history of Texas.

The visitors were a fun and lively group who asked many questions as they listened to the Director of the Center, Lovie Hall Cunningham who spoke about the life of Samuel Walker Houston, the Museum and the Cultural Center.
